Octavic
Sub-Project Type: 3
Sub-projects to improve the EFPF ecosystem by connecting multiple stakeholders through innovative solutions
Octavic (OCT) will integrate with EFPF service providers for Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Analytics. Human-contextualized and anonymized
datasets, as collected by the Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) system developed by OCT, will be passed via an integration layer to EFPF PdM Analytics services, and the result (probability of machine failure) will be re-integrated in OCT system smart production scheduler (SPS) module, as a risk-based planning tool. The integration will enable real-time adaptation of factory operations and robustness in industrial manufacturing.

Ideally OCT will develop a new module (option) as part of its existing MOM system. This will allow its SPS module to operate more accurately, taking risk models into consideration. The risk assessments will be provided by the integration with EFPF PdM Analytics services. This integration will increase the accuracy and perceived value of the SPS module for existing and new customers. In some cases, the SPS module is the main focus of OCT system deployments, so it is likely that the newly developed integration will enlarge the potential market for OCT.

Technically, successful integration with EFPF PdM Analytics services would mean to meet or exceed in-field tests accuracy of 60% correct predictions for PdM events. The proposed integration will be between an on-premises or cloud-based OCT system and cloud-based EFPF components, depending on the type of installation OCT customers have opted for.
